Rest - Nourish - Restore

A beautiful practice of Restorative Yoga to nourish the mind and body.

During these 2 hour workshops, props, blankets and cushions will support you as you explore the beauty of longer holds, in this floor based practice.

Restorative yoga is a slow and gentle practice which initiates deep relaxation of the body, mind and spirit, and allows the body to heal. It enables us to drop down into the parasympathetic nervous system, the place where the body can heal and renew itself fully. Immerse yourself in the deeply nourishing and therapeutic benefits of rest, indulging your senses with soulful sounds and heavenly scents as we soothe the nervous system and sink into blissful relaxation.
Enjoy the support of gentle, massage assists to further allow the body release into each pose.

* Suitable for all levels, no experience needed.

About Katie B

Founder

Meet Katie, the heart of Kindred. ❤️

Katie is the creator and founder of Kindred and it has truly been a dream come true to see Kindred come to life.

Movement has been a lifelong way of living for Katie, but Dance and Musical Theatre became her passion from the age of seven, studying with Mary Mc Donagh & Steffen Jorgenson of Chapel Lane School of Performing Arts, the leading theatre school in Sligo. This led her to train and perform professionally in both, in Ireland and the UK.

Discovering yoga over 20 years ago, her regular practice began with Iyengar Yoga with Helen Gillen as a teenager. It complimented the intense world of the Performing Arts, and enticed her immediately. It became a part of daily life for Katie, as she explored different schools of yoga in London, Ireland and around the world..

Katie has been teaching movement since her early teens and loves to teach in a fun and functional way, and feels drawing from different types of movement is beneficial for her body rather than repetition of one practice, which is something she brings in to her classes.

Yoga Training includes: Vinyasa Flow, Restorative Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Functional Yoga as Therapy, Myofascial Release, Children’s Yoga, Menstrual Cycle Awareness & Restorative YTT, Yin Yoga, Yoga for Children with Special Needs, Yoga Nidra, Trauma Sensitive yoga Skills, Therapeutic Yoga for Cancer Care, Trauma Informed Teaching, Pregnancy Yoga, Restorative Yoga with Assists, and Mum & Baby Yoga.

Katie has done further study in MCA with Red Alchemy & the Red School and trained in Creation Template Healing, Golden Tera Mai Reiki and Rahanni Healing.
