Therapies & Treatments

  • Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles into specific points on the body to stimulate the body’s own natural healing processes treating or reducing the severity of many health conditions. Acupuncture stimulates the release of endorphins and neurotransmitters, including serotonin and dopamine. It balances the autonomic nervous system, influences hormonal release, and induces neuroplastic changes in the brain.

The points of insertion along different pathways throughout the body are chosen based on different complex functions unique to each point. Acupuncture is an integral component of traditional Chinese medicine, which has been practiced for thousands of years. Acupuncture can help maintain balance within the body and is used to treat imbalances within the body which can lead to chronic diseases. Imbalance within the body is believed to block the flow of qi (a vital energy that regulates physical, emotional, and mental balance) along these pathways. By inserting needles at specific points on the body that connect with these pathways, acupuncture is believed to unblock the flow of qi, restoring health to the body and mind.

Due to these powerful effects Acupuncture can be an effective treatment for many health conditions including, chronic pain, migraine and headaches, fertility issues, depression, irritability and mood swings, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, gynaecological conditions e.g. fibroids and endometriosis to name but a few common conditions.

Acupuncture activates the body’s own healing ability to rebalance and restore itself naturally.

  • Rahanni, 'of one heart', is healing for the mind, body and soul. There is no separation, we are from one divine energy source.

Rahanni helps balance the masculine and feminine aspects of every man, woman and child.

It is possible to release our fears and any negative energy that we accumulate from our experiences on this earth. It helps us with communication and to gain control over our lives.

  • Biodynamic Cranio-Sacral Therapy allows for the body’s natural ability to reset itself. Through light, gentle touch and holding, this approach to healing offers and encourages a physical, mental and emotional rebalance. This modality of healing gives the body permission to gently release stress and trauma held in our systems.

  • A holistic practice and gentle supportive art that has origins dating back to Ancient Egyptians times. Reflexology is a form of touch therapy, based on the theory that different reflex points on the feet correspond to different areas of the body. In essence the whole body can be mirrored on the feet👣

Reflexology is a complimentary therapy working on the reflexes on the feet to help restore a sense of well-being, balance and bring overall homeostasis to the whole person. It’s works on both a physical, emotional and spiritual level, as all three are intertwined

Reflexology can help support the body with a wide variety of ailments. Here’s a few. Supports with digestion imbalances, stress, insomnia, anxiety, menstrual imbalances, headaches/migraines, pain & inflammation. It can also help boost immune system, and it supports the body with over all tension👣

  • Reiki is an energy healing technique using gentle touch.

It promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety, while healing the body on a physical, emotional, and mental level.

Reiki practitioners use their hands to deliver energy to your body, improving the flow and balance to support healing.

  • Electroacupuncture uses two needles in each meridian point, or acupuncture point, and then connects to a machine that passes a small electric current through the needle. ‌

Electroacupuncture helps to block your pain by activating bioactive chemicals in your body. The resulting stimulation signals, which are transmitted to the spinal cord and brain, stimulate the central nervous system to generate specific chemical mediators to induce relevant physiological effects.

  • Auricular Acupuncture (or Ear Acupuncture) is a micro-system of acupuncture, a specialised therapy where acupuncture points on the ear are treated.

  • Shamanism is the oldest spiritual, healing practice on this Earth. It is an invitation to dive deep into our connection and relationship with the Earth, with the Elements and with the magic that this holds and in turn build a divine relationship with ourselves.

It is the simple allowing of oneself to rest back into your own energy, and to tune into what the earth would like you to hear. This can be done through journeying with a drum, breath-work or visualisation. A Shamanic Practitioner is there to provide a safe and supportive space while you connect with your own inner healer.

  • Enjoy a full-body massage to release tension and promote the flow of energy. This treatment utilises the power of breath, touch, and sound in combination with oils and assisted body positions to facilitate a deep relaxation.

  • What are the potential benefits of cupping therapy?

Sandra loves to use Cupping in combination with Acupuncture for certain conditions. Sliding cupping which I prefer to use involves creating a vacuum inside a glass cup by inserting a naked flame, removing it then placing the cup quickly on the area to be treated. The cups can be left in place for a number of minutes or gently moved using a base oil applied to the skin.

    Cupping can:

    Reduce pain and inflammation.

    Decrease muscle tightness.

    Improve blood flow.

    Increase range of motion.

Ais in the expectoration of phlegm from the lungs.

Many theories have been suggested to explain numerous effects of cupping therapy and its mechanisms of action. Several researchers studying Cupping therapy proposed a reduction of pain may result from changes in biomechanical properties of the skin as explained by the “Pain-Gate Theory”, “Diffuse Noxious Inhibitory Controls and “Reflex Zone Theory”. Muscle relaxation, specific changes in local tissue structures and increase in blood circulation could be explained by the “Nitric Oxide Theory” The immunomodulatory effects of cupping therapy could be attributed to the “Activation of Immune System Theory”. Releasing of toxins and removal of wastes and heavy metals might be attributed to the “Blood Detoxification Theory”.

These theories may have been interacting harmoniously to produce the beneficial effects of cupping in treating patients with various diseases and promoting wellbeing in healthy people.

  • This treatment is done primarily with the feet using rhythmic motions and breath to release muscular tension and activate marmas (energetic points) for a grounding experience.
